A LGS in my area has the pistol in stock, unfortunately they don't do the SSE (they do on other handgun models). For those who have an XDS and acquired it by doing a SSE, do you happen to know what barrels were used to convert the gun? I've heard conflicting stories from people that it cannot be done as of yet. Any insight on the technical aspects on what barrels were used? Thanks

SSE XDS Barrel

Just an assumption here, but I sse'd a kel tec pf9, and they just welded a piece of tubing to a barrel achieving the dimension requirements. So they have to sacrifice one barrel in order to SSE. Check out EBR works, he is doing the SSE on the XDS. -
I SSE'd mine at Valkyrie Arms, but didn't get a close look at what they were using for the barrel. As soon as I requested they switch it back, they whisked it away into the back room, and brought it back out with the factory barrel.
OP, where are you located?
