Don't be shocked, but there's a block on having a stock on your Glock.

That would make it fun, therefore it is illegal.

          Right.

If it's cool or fun, the Legislature does not want you to have it.

It'll also make it an assault weapon unless it some how makes the pistol grip not a pistol grip.

To make it California compliant, perform the following before attaching the stock:

                1) Use a non-detachable 10-ten round magazine (grind down the mag catch or use a sheet metal screw through the grip's heel pocket into a 10 round mag)
                2) replace the pistol barrel with a 16" impulse barrel (this is going to be $$$)
                3) make sure the overall length is NOT less than 30"

Reloading requires a tool to remove the magazine or disassembly of the action, therefore it does not accept "detachable" magazines.

Anyone see a problem with this approach ?

What's an impulse barrel? Also, ugly?

Maybe someone can make a 13+" flash hider and weld it on.

If your going to wish for a Glock you cant have it might as well be this one
Introduced at SHOT 08 is Magpuls concept weapon..... As a self contained unit, this carbine folds out of its own box with the flick of a wrist. While this is not an item that Magpul anticipates going into full production, it doesn't alter its unique appearance and abilities. http://album.weaponevolution.com/SHOT/IMG_0748%201028%20WEVO.jpg http://album.weaponevolution.com/SHOT/IMG_0749%201028%20WEVO.jpg http://album.weaponevolution.com/SHOT/IMG_0751%201028%20WEVO.jpg

Don't put a buttstock on your pistol - or you'll be someone's "butt stock" in prison.

Looks like a Glock top end (slide/barrel assembly) mated to proprietary folding grip frame.

Jicko found the link for the Impulse gun barrels.

These barrels have a built in booster, like the MG42 machine gun, which is essentially an annular gas piston. The added mass a 16" barrel might absorb too much recoil energy that is used to cycle the action. So the gas piston provides an additional kick to assist cycling. You end up with a gas-assisted recoil action, like an MG42.

As for me, I would just use a MechTech carbine conversion unit with non-detachable magazine in a Glock frame, if I really wanted a 9mm Glock carbine.
