    CZ 75 B Glossy Blue

I had been surfing gunbroker for a cz 75 the last few weeks before my 21st birthday since everyone around here is out of them. I came across a store on gunbroker that had 3 cz 75 B glossy blue, the discontinued ones. I was all ready to buy it so I called the store to ask a few questions before I purchased it but they were out to lunch. So the in the time between me waiting for them to get back I was looking on the DOJ roster of handguns and its not listed there..hah. So I started thinking about it and realized, well, why would it be there? The manufacturer has to renew it and they don't even make it anymore. Guess I'm out of luck, just wanted to share my sad story, lol.

The part number is what matters. If it is a 5 digit number that starts with 0, it is a California model, and might fly.

I would love to blue one of mine, then add some nice wood grips.

Can you shed some light on this? I don't see anything saying that on the roster.

What is the CZ part number of the gunbroker items?

Most CA list guns have a part number next to the description, on the list.

Yah, there's a limited edition Glossy Blue 75b and a 97b. CZ Custom had them both in stock a couple months ago at good prices. No idea on CA stuff.

Oh well, everyone knows a gun with a shiny finish is infinitely more dangerous than polycoat. California, saving lives in action!

I think the Glossy Blue line was discontinued in 08. Very doubtful CZ would have continued to pay the extortion fees to keep it on the list for the past 4 years.

btw I think the gun numbers that start with zero mean ten round mag. Not sure, but that seems to follow from looking at Bud's for a while. Good to know if you are here or in Mass or NY or elsewhere.

Yes, you're right. You can see this in action by going to the CZ USA website and selecting a gun model, like a P-01 for instance, and then using the drop-down menu to go between normal gun and reduced capacity 10-round gun. In the table below, the part number will change. The 10-rounders always start with a 0. At least, that is the guns that are specifically reduced to 10 rounds from a higher normal capacity.

Some shops like CZ Custom will just slap the correct part number on the box depending on whether they are shipping the gun with normal mags or with 10-round mags. The guns themselves are 100% identical and CZ does not put a part number on the gun anywhere -- it just goes on the box at CZ USA. And not all of the time. For instance, my OD Green P-01 has no part number at all on the box or anywhere else. If it shipped with a 10-round mag and the "0" part number, it would be 100% identical to the CA-okay P-01 version with the exception of the super duper amazing green polycoat (the roster doesn't even specify color for the "0" number).
