    CCR Refinishing

I am being offered a good deal on P220. The slide has been nickel plated but the frame looks in bad shape. Their pricing seems very reasonable for a complete job on a handgun.

Anyone have experience with them and can tell me about their different finishes?

I had good results from CCR

This a copy of a post about my experience with CCR:

They have finishes for Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum sometimes at rates less than trying to do it yourself.

I also had them do a Sig P230 in House Black Cera-Hide that turned out beautiful. You will find them recomenrd on the Sig and Beretta forums.

What do you mean by "the frame is in bad shape"?

On Sigs, the hardness of the frame that makes the gun safe to use is in the anodizing on the exterior of the frame. Once that is gone it is not possible to repair it.

CCR is a good refinishing shop and they know that Sig frames can not be safely fired past a point... However you may want to send them photos of the frame before spending $100 to mail it to them.

They do wonderful work by the way I've seen a few examples but I've never had the chance to send them one of mine.

              Hi CCR,

Is it possible to have my gun refinished (including frame rails) to the point that it would be like-new?

I had CCR finish my Glock 20 Longslide in Cera-Hide "House Black". The finish itself is beautiful, and turnaround time was pretty fast (about a month). They were very easy to deal with, and you can't go wrong with their normal pricing, let alone their specials.

I have them do a Kimber series 1 with 3 magazines in ceramic hide it was a custom black finish halfway between their house black and there matte black. They did an amazing job. I liked it a lot more than the roguard from Robar that was previously on that same gun.

I'm tempted in getting the CPII for my G19 slide eventually.
