Glock 19 Gen 4 Slide stuck, help! (*RESOLVED THANKS*)

Hello everyone, after taking my newly purchased G19 to the range I decided to clean and lube it. I've disassembled it a couple times before (Although I am a newbie at this) and for some reason I wasn't paying attention or something and after putting the slide back on, it's now crooked and I can't seem to take it off to properly assemble the slide. Below are a few pics:

Might have to just push/pull the entire slide forward (towards muzzle) with some force.....looks like only the rear rails are in the slide rail grooves, and then it was pulled back into a friction lock.. Gotta make sure when reassembling that you slide the front rails into the slide grooves first, and then slide it further back into the rear rails.

I totally hear you man, I didn't slide it into the 1st slide grooves, and this is what I get for not paying attention.

I have been twerking on it and trying to get it to come off (I don't want to ruin/break anything by being too forceful though). Do you think if I yank/pull too hard I have a chance to damage something?

Central California. I thought about taking it to the local gun shop that I bought it from but didn't want to look like a noob and have to pay a bunch of $ if it is an easy fix. I can't be the ONLY person that has ever done this? LOL

I myself would take it to a gun shop before forcing anything TOO much, yes you could potentally break something. The slide won't move back any further?

I wouldn't think anything would be damaged..maybe the rails might scratch the grooves a bit? But if you do decide to yank, do it while holding down the takedown lever.

It will move back to the normal position, but the slide is still 'lifted' or 'crooked.'

Also, when I try to move the slide back and forth to get it off, the spring is making not so great noises.

I've also tried pressing down the takedown levers in an attempt to remove the slide this way, to no avail.

It really depends on how stuck it is, but I would personally just take it into a gun smith and have em get it off. I can't imagine them charging too much for something like that. They might just pull if off for free and laugh at you. (we were all noobs at one point right?)

I just tried to replicate it with my 19 without pulling it as far back as you did. It gets frozen up pretty tight even when only the rear rails are slightly on the slide. Your gun is pulled back pretty far; far enough that the recoil spring is under tension.... I would imagine it's pretty damm stuck..

It appears you didn't slide the grooves in the upper slide over the front guide rails, just the back ones. It also looks like the spring is assembled wrong. Hard to tell from these pictures. Can we get a better view of how the spring is in there?
