    Star BKM a curio?

Is the old 9mm Star BKM pistol listed as a curio/relic and therefore bypasses the California handgun roster?

I don't think date alone matters. I have a FFL friend who primarily sells C&R rifles, but he also sells some C&R handguns too. And one of them is the CZ-82 in 9mm Makarov caliber (on the C&R list since 2007).

Even though they are less than 50 years old, the CZ-82 was specifically granted C&R status by the BATFE.

Unless it is on the C&R list, it needs to be 50 or more years old to be a C&R firearm.

There are no Star handguns specifically listed as a C&R, so there status is determined by age and since the Star Model BKM were produced from 1972-1997, they are not C&R.

Hell. That BKM looked really sweet. Damn this state and it's crazy anti-gun laws.
