Thoughts on the CZ P-01

I held one a couple months back when I got my CZ 75 BD and really liked the size balance of it. It sits in your hand so comfortably.

What is the accuracy and recoil like compared to the full size CZ 75?

Is it too heavy for CCW?

Also, I like the rail so I could use it as a HD gun as well.

I would like input from only those who own one.

It's my first pistol purchased, then my 75 SAO.
Weight is going to be lighter being an alloy frame, recoil is what to expect from a cz; minimal, very very accurate, I can hit steel at 100 yds.
Been known to outshoot certain guns at my range.
I ccw at home (only place I can and it's not too heavy, you feel it there but not overbearing by any means. I absolutely love this gun.

I have a P-02 Omega and when compared to my SP-01 tactical it's pretty close in feel.
I do wish the beavertail on my SP-01 could be done to the P-02. The Omega trigger is heavier in DA then my SP-01, but the SA break is right at 3lbs.
I did carry both at work and the alloy frame and 15 rounds made a big difference verses the full steel and 20 rounds.

Forgot to mention, the P-02 is the P-01 but with the Omega trigger system. I was able to get one if the few that was imported into the US.

It's a sweet gun. I think maybe a touch thick and the handle is a touch long for CCW in light clothing (although it depends a lot on your body style and where on your body you carry the gun), but the weight is no issue.

You should totally buy my OD Green one. Go big or go home, right?

I think the p-01 and PCR are the best feeling CZ in their line up. Just as accurate as its big brothers. They are too big for me to ccw. I like something thinner, like a kahr.

They are the cream of the crop. I have a p-01 and I'll always have one. For ccw they are imo the perfect size. The goldylocks of pistols. Not to big, not to small .You will feel like you can take on all the full sizes out there with it. Its as or more accurate then most 5 in barrel handguns. You can get thin grips, but the stock ones are sweet. It melts in your hand and feels like an extension of your self. The low low bore axes makes shooting fast, and fallow up shots a blast. They have the NATO approval, they are built for hell and back. They point like a handgun should in the hand. I have yet to hold/shoot a gun that feels better oh and they eat glocks for breakfast... the p-01 is 9mm perfection. The perfect pistol.
