    Taurus .38 super

Anyone have the Taurus .38 super alloy frame pistol? I'm thinking of getting one, since I like the .38 super cartridge a lot.

Get the Kimber 1911 in .38 super. Its an infinately superior gun and will allow the round to use its full potential.

        Yeah it's on the list -- it's the PT38S.

It's almost identical to the PT945, which is not on the list for some reason.

I like mine a lot. It's not a Kimber -- it's more like a SIG 220 than a 1911 -- but it ain't "infinitely inferior" to anything. The barrel is .75 inches shorter than a 1911, but other than that I don't know why it would not "allow the round to use its full potential."

If you would rather have a DA decocker than a 1911, the Taurus is a great deal at a little more than $300 -- if you can still find them. I got mine not long ago through Davidson's but they seem to have sold out their entire stock of more than 100 pistols.

the "basic" blue model looks okay. I also dont like the bling version.
But I love to shoot the .38 mostly out of the 1911 platform.
