    Thinking about a P245

I like the looks of it and kinda want a 45. They sure don't seem to be getting any cheaper. Anybody got an opinion?

Depends on whether I have to add shipping/tax/FFL. Even a fairly inexpensive weapon is spendy when buying from out of state. Sorry I'm beating around the bush...700 or less.

MSRP is $800 on the P245. Dang nice pistol. I aready have a compact .45 but would sure give that one a look. I like SIGs. Dunno. How much do they go for in the real world?

$700 is right around the neighborhood of a used SIG P220. Used Ruger KP345 and several magazines, I've seen HK USP45s around that in the past but not lately. Missed out on a very nice KP90 recently at $500-ish.

Lots of options if you're willing to pound the consignment cases regularly or stare at the WTS board and hit refresh, refresh, refresh...

The world seems to be moving toward plastic guns, hybrid cars, cell phones that talk to you and nosewheel airplanes. I must be at that age; I'm just not buying it. Next thing you know, (plastic) guns will have a little computer chip to keep track of its whereabouts. It's as wrong as plastic food.
          Sorry, rant off.

Saw a Ruger KP89 in the used case today. Nice condition w/8 magazines. Sorely tempted to pick it up as a safemate to my KP90. Something about the metal framed guns. I would probably trade it straight up for my SIG SP2022.

Fortunately I was making a "pickup" so my gun budget is pretty much blown for awhile...
