Value on Colt Combat Elite Enhanced Stainless?

Hey guys....whats the approx. value on a Colt Combat Elite 45 Enhanced in Stainless Steel?? The gun is new in box condition, maybe 24-32 rounds thru it at the very most. No one I know really KNOWS these "special" models and their values so I thought Id ask y'all...

I believe the gun in question (not mine) would be an '84 model. It looks IDENTICAL to the pic above, down to the mags and the blue box....

Any chance one of you guys would want one bad enough to trade an M1A for the Combat Elite? lol

    THANKS!!!!

I believe there is one for sale on Gunbroker and the seller is in Socal. He has it listed for about $1200 and it has been posted and re-posted for a few weeks now. His is NIB.

eta: the one on Gunbroker is a blued model with standard sights and controls unlike the one you have pictured.

Not too many of these around. I doubt you'll find one for under $1000.

        I'd say 1200 - 1400.

You can have it if you give me one of what I know are many many many Colts you have.

I like this one a lot, JP. Maybe we'll have to chat.

                Estimate $900

I believe the gun would sell in CA for about $900. In the photos I can see quite a few aftermarket parts, including the grip safety, thumb safety, slide stop, rear sight and magazine. Given all the obvious gunsmithing, I'd guess the gun has been shot more than a little. While a new and unfired one might sell for $1200 or so, I think this would go for less.

Believe it or not, that WAS how they shipped from Colt!!

I have seen 3 others in the box with the same features. In fact the grips say COLT right on them.

The parts might have been fitted AT THE FACTORY, cuz they sure werent put on after the fact. This gun was bought new and came AS you see it.

Thanks for all the info everyone, Im gonna list it for sale.

                    Reason for my comment...

The reason I didn't think the Combat Elite looked stock is that it is different in a number of details from the Combat Elites shown below, which are pictures of three different guns I found on the web. I believe these three are fairly stock, and yours differs in the type of slide stop, thumb safety, grip safety, and sights from these shown below:

CE run $750-$900 and are while not common are certainly not uncommon either. That gun is not a stock pistol and the enhanced pistols typically are lower demand because of the flat tops. I've seen many nicer examples of CE's and sold nicer ones and nicer custom shop pistols from Colt. I don't see any thing near 1k for it but I'm pretty particular with the newer Colts. Good luck on the sell if that is the ultimate goal. RB
