How many of you have the 40S&W conversion barrel and do you have extraction problems, thinking of customizing a Glock 20 at the Glock store in San Diego, CA..

Here's my Glockworx/KKM USPSA Limited Gun (10-40 Conversion). I have about 500rds of reloads & 50rds of factory ammo through it, absolutely no problems.

It's stock for now, I actually really like the factory trigger. I have tried a few 3.5# connectors, and went as far as a $225 trigger kit. Even after shipping the $225 trigger kit back to the company for some minor tweaking, it never felt good. Now I'm a little gun-shy about expensive Glock triggers. If I ever decide to upgrade the trigger, I'll go with the Zev Tech Fulcrum Trigger (Duty Tactical Version). I thought about the Ghost Rocket, but I can't make up my mind on whether or not I should just put that $35 towards the Fulcrum.

I also have several hundred rounds through my G20SF with the lone wolf conversion. No problems with extraction per se but, the ejection is a little erratic. I've had a few hit me in the face but it depends on the load used. The recoil spring is cheap and easy to change to get desired trajectory for those ejected cases.

I forgot to mention that I'm running a 13# ISMI spring when I shoot 40. The G20 slide weighs about 4.25oz (~30%) more than a G22 slide, and slide mass affects slide speed more than recoil spring weight. The 13# is tailored to my gun with my 40 Major load, the 15# should run factory ammo just fine.

My KKM 10mm - 40 conversion bbl has only about 75 rds through it. So far, so good.

I have a Lonewolf .40 conversion barrel that works perfect in my G20s. However, just for kicks last week at the range I ran 100 rounds of .40 thru my Glock 20 with the 10MM barrel installed (stock barrel).

I shot about 45 rounds (3 mags full) of .40 and since it was just .40 white-box-range-ammo, not much recoil. Functioned perfectly. Then I ran some normal 10MM thru...slightly more recoil but honestly, most commercial 10MM is still kind of weak.

Then I loaded up my Glock 20 magazines with one round of 10MM and one round of .40, stacking them every-other-round like that until full. Ran 6 mags like that. No problems, functioned 100%. On one mag I did run some of my 10MM hot reloads (135 Grain Noslers with 11.4 grains of AA#5 for about 1500 FPS) it was freaky hearing and feeling a CRACK/FLASH with the 135 grainers and a small PUFF/POP with the .40 whitebox. hehe..

Stock 17 pound recoil spring the entire time.

Knowing that the 10MM/,40 round seats on the case mouth I was concerned at first about a .40 round getting 'captured' by the extractor on the G20. Then I figured out that in cycling, the round comes up from the bottom of the breach face and hooks itself behind the extractor.

Interesting day........

But it is nice to know that in a pinch, you can run .40 in a stock G20 platform.

Veeery interesting!!! I'm sure some gunsmith will chime in about how it's very dangerous to do what you did. But nevertheless - very interesting.
