    Glock Trigger Job & Sights?

So, I'd like to improve the feel of my glock. Can anyone recommend either a drop in solution or a smith?

Also, if anyone could recommend sights I figure I might as well upgrade those at the same time.

This is for a glock 17.

    I'm in San Jose.

    Thanks!

Depends on what you're looking to do with the gun. The easiest solution is to drop in a 3.5 connector, for carry use get a set of trijicons, for range/competition get some sevigney/dawson sights.

My G17 has the lone wolf 3.5 connector and sevigney competition sights with the fiber optic front. I installed everything my self, big improvement. Here's some differnt sights from glocktalk. http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthre...hlight=sevigny Mark

+1 on the 3.5 connector and trij night sights. Reeds does the work if you want them too. It's really expensive though. Target Masters West in Milpitas will do it for cheap. They say they don't do gunsmithing, which they don't, but ask the lady that works there if she will put on sights and add the 3.5 connector and she will say yes. She only charged me $20.

I tried alot of different things for trigger jobs, changing out connector's polishing everything, titanium strikers, changing out springs. If i had to do it all over again i would buy a drop in package from triggerkit.com. My buddies have them installed in there Glocks. My trigger is pretty light but it does not even come close to triggerkit.com reset.

What about the 3.5 connector? Sounds like the factor connector is the way to go. Don't really understand how it is integrated in to the trigger kit.

I started with the subtle .25ct trigger job but that wasn't enough so I moved on to the 3.5 connector. Great improvement but still not satisfied, my next upgrade will probably be the complete Glockworx drop-in trigger. One of these days I'm going to realize that it will never be like a 1911

As far as sights go, I've settled on Heinie's.

I have used some of the other trigger kits mentioned above but I now only use Vanek trigger kits.

If you want the stock like trigger only smoother and lighter go with the Classic kit.

If you want the competion trigger (no pretravel) get the Super trigger kit.

I have raced with them both and they work very well.

Sights are tough to pick for someone else but I prefer the fiber optic front and solid black rear ie Dawson front/ Heinie rear.

                    My .02 cents.

They offer 2 different packages 1 with and 1 without the 3.5 lbs connector which also is a Drop in kit.

On my G34 I went with the .25 cent do it yourself job, 3.5 ghost rocket, Sevigny competition sights (ditched the FO front in favor of standard black sight), and a tungsten guide rod. Trigger is a big improvement over stock. On my G26, I just installed a set of Trijicons and left the trigger as is.

I guess I just wish we could try these options out at a shop around here and kinda find out which feels best. But that's not an option, which sucks!
