The most over priced handgun that's on the list is any OD Glock.

Colored glocks. People are delirious with the prices they ask for.

Seriously. What a racket we have let them get away with.
Or requiring Ford to submit the 1969 Mustang for approval every 4 years or so, to meet CURRENT DOT and NTSB standards?

So why is a 1969 Colt Python grandfathered to be included on the Roster? That aspect of the Safety Roster screamed it was merely a utility to put a damper to decrease gun ownership and gun sales when an all-out ban wouldn't work; how that is not an unjustified ruling is beyond me, as they knew no manufacturer would submit testing a gun the manufacturer no longer made (no profit/so submission) for safety testing to be sold in CA, especially one that had not been made in decades - or even 4 years ago for that matter.

While the entire law is bullcrap, adding guns retroactively to the roster, dating back some 50 years, active upon the day it became effective, made no sense at all - including guns made prior to it becoming law.

Nearly no other state laws ban something retroactively except drug laws or for extremely toxic substances.

I fought SB15 at the time aggressively, and I recall having a hard time getting other gun owners to see the technical side of how bad a ban on sales it would eventually become. Some felt it would never pass, so they were apathetic to it, others just didn't understand the scope of its wide reach as a subterfuge to effectively ban future gun purchases.

Sure, but the Single-Action Cowboy Shooting crowd knew what it was all about, didn't they!

That would qualify in this thread, except that's a longarm.

The P7M8 is still listed (until 9/10/2013), so not technically off Roster. But I agree it is overpriced.
