    MidwayUSA Competition Range Bag

I just bought my first range bag. I have a quick question that i hope can be solved easily.
Can I transport my pistol(s) in the case along with the magazines and ammo even if i throw a lock through the zippers?
Do they have to be in separate bags? pouches?
Can I transport loaded magazines at all in CA?

Im pretty much a newb, obviously. any help would be awesome
    Thanks

We own a couple of those bags and have given them as gifts.

    1) I'd pick something better as my case for my handguns (and have - I like hard cases, just personal preference), but a lock through the zipper pulls makes that a locked case. Legal

    2) No.

    3) Yes, so long as not in the mag well of the gun(s)

Thank You! And yes i will be getting a small hard case just for the pistol which will fit in the awesome range bag. So to clarify-ammo and magazines can be in the same case as the pistol so lang as it is locked shut?

This is what I use with that specific bag: http://www.amazon.com/Travel-Accesso...ble+cable+lock

Lewis N. Clark Tsa Lockdown Triple Security Cable Lock: I loop one wire through the holes in the zippers and the other wire through the D-ring where the shoulder strap goes. Locks it up good. I use the same thing with my voodoo tactical double rifle bag which also has the handgun storage in front - 1 loop through rifle zips, 1 through a small metal attachment and then through the handgun zips.
