    Sig Mosquito FTF? WTF?

Last time I was at the range, my Mosquito started to click with no bang. I checked the brass and there are no marks at all, not even a light one. I haven't pulled it apart, but my first thought is possibly a broken firing pin.

Is this a common problem with the Mosquito? Is there anything else that could have broken that would cause this?

I should specify that's a failure to fire, not failure to feed.

I was using CCI Minimags when it first happened, and I switched to some bulk Federal just to make sure it wasn't the ammo. It's not like it's a once in a while failure to fire, it just stopped firing all together.

Call SIG and send it back for repairs.

Make sure you didnt over lube the fire pin area and clear any caked on residue, carbon, powder fouling and let it air out or use compressed air cans.

            Aren't Mosquitos not real SIGs?

Correct, Sad that Sig let a POS carry it's name... However they still deal with any CS related issues.

As for the OP, sounds like your FP is gummed up.

A 15-second internet search prior to purchase could have saved you a lot of time and hassle.

Lots of people brag about their Mosquitos but, they are usually the ones with less than 2000 rounds through them. I'd fix it, sell it and buy a more reliable and proven gun instead.

Colt Woodsman is long on my short list.

Heh, I expected the mosquito crapping. I knew before buying that it was not a reliable gun and was picky with ammo, but I sure wasn't expecting it to just break completely. It was cheap on sale at Turners and it's just a plinker, so I'd rather just fix it. Maybe I'll get a nicer .22LR pistol later on, but I've got other purchases higher up on my list at the moment.
