i bought this gun brand new from bay area gun vault a little over a month ago and finally had the chance to take it to the range a week ago. i cleaned it and lubed it using hoppe's before heading to the range. i shot 200 rounds of wwb through it. when i cleaned it afterwards, i noticed that the corner of the slide rail on the frame were scratched into the aluminum, and the corner felt rough and bumpy when i slid my nail across it. this can be seen in the pictures below. the picture with the keys in the background...the brass key is pointing to where the scratches starts and and it ends slightly to the right of the take down lever. the other picture shows machining marks to the left side of the spring housing...yes, i'm a bit of a perfectionist, but at the same time, when i pay this much for a gun...i would like it to be close to flawless.
i couldn't find sig's email on their site so i searched this site and i sent an email to signifo @ sigsauer two days ago and still no reply. who else should i email to have this resolved, or should i call them directly? any help would be much appreciated.
**please don't use this post of mine as a jumping board into sig bashing. most of my family and friends own sig's...i just had bad luck with this one, so lets leave it at that.
