Another Vintage Smith

Ok, so I can't stop buying S&W's, but I DID need a centerfire to shoot silhouette matches in the Open Sights class.

I think this one should be able to reach out to 50 yds.

I mean, that's a good excuse isn't it?

Should be in my hands within a week.

Nice looking piece and it has the beautiful deep blue seldom seen on the newer guns. I'm a fan of the pre lock S&W revolvers.

Nice pick up, I would get a set of target grips from Kurac. A nice birds eye maple would look great with that blue.

I picked up the same gun here from another Calgunner last year. Mine came with the wood presentation box and looked unturned...think I gave 750 or 8 for it (a little high,but it was like new) You will love tour new tack driver! They dont make'em like this any more.The bluing on these are stunning.

Well, if you can't find a Model 53 I guess that will do .....

I don't have K frames in 8 3/8" but I've always had a liking for them. It just seems that however well a person can shoot with the 6" version they should be able to do better with the longer sight radius, and the guns aren't all that heavy.

That one is gone, but I have another at the Colt Custom Shop getting a Royal Blue refinish.

They've had it since April, and I might get it back within the next to weeks!
