    Magnaport experiences?

Anyone have a testimonial, good or bad, about Magnaport ? I want to send them my ruger .454 Super red hawk for the full treatment ( porting, polish, machining and refinish) just wondering what others may have experienced and if there are any other businesses that do this type of work.

I'm going to be send my Kahr K40 to them next month. I have heard nothing but good things about them. I hear they have a turn around time of a couple days so most guys are without their pistol for about a week (port job only). If you drop off your pistol to them they have it done in a couple hours. Their pricing is very reasonable too.

I've sent several of my customer's guns including revolver, pistols and shotguns to them back when I was a FFL dealer. Absolutely great work. Didn't adversely affect accuracy or function of the gun at all. Only reduced the recoil. I remember they actually cut the ports in the grooves of a couple of the guns because the location permitted.

I have first hand on this because I shot some of those guns before and after for accuracy comparison.

Had my 870 done, also had the forcing cone done, seemed to help. Haven't done a pistol because I was worried about the flame porting out above the barrel, night vision?

I have a Mag-na-Port on a .458 WM rifle. It reduces apparent recoil somewhat by reducing muzzle flip. For hard recoiling guns, they are worth the money IMO.
