Is a Tech 9 a CA compliant gun?

I've always loved the looks of a Tech 9. Tonight I was watching an older movie and saw one. Reminded me how cool they look. And I want to get one.

      Not entirely true.
Legal if it's not named on the AW list and is equipped with a mag lock.

There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

I wanted to buy one at Turner's at their Fountain Valley store and the employee told me they were junk and the bolt cracks on them. So I didn't get one. Now I wish I had.

          Do you mean a TEC-9?

That gun is a listed-by-name AW here...

There are a few off-list clones that sometimes pop up. I know that PRK arms in Fresno can get them sometimes, but since they are not made anymore they are pretty hard to find. If you really want one ($$$$$$) then they are the one that can probably make it happen.

Being that the magwell is outside the grip you need to bullet button them.

Aside from the novelty associated with owning one, why would anyone want one?

I liked the look, and it seemed like a fun gun to shoot. Like the Steyr TMP we had, it was more of a fun gun.

I just want one for the hell of it. Its like my Draco AK. The thing is fun but I don't consider it in the same class as my AR. I like the looks and think it would be cool to have one. Heck. I want a Mini 14 just because I loved them so much when I was a kid watching The A Team.

funny note: the A-Team got so much flack using military weapons like my 25lb love:the m-60. So they switched to wood and (nickel or stainless?) rifles Mini 14's to appease all those frightened parents... I was soo bummed when it happened... I think I dated myself...

Prk arms have the ab-10 ... I'm sure they could whip out a Tec 9 if you asked.
