    Will it return?

Well the surplus 7.62X25 ammo is running low, so I started checking prices. Good thing I was sitting down. First, there is very little surplus left and the comerical stuff is $$$. Picked up my current stock several years ago, so I did'nt expect the same prices. What did stand out is the lack of surplus. Has it dried up never to return?

Name all the countries still using 7.62x25mm in front line service.

THIS^ Surplus ammo is just that, surplus. And if it is an outdated caliber it WILL eventually dry up. Companies that manufacture new ammo know that it is a valuable commodity, and they don't produce large amounts of it, since it is not very common, so you are going to pay a premium for it because of that.

Check in the private ammo sales thread. I have seen a couple guys selling it cheap.

Collect your brass. Find someone who reloads. Buy them a set of dies. Buy the primers, powder, bullets. From then on you can get them cheap.

it's ebb & flow... everything from overseas seems to be coming in waves (more than usual) these days...

Optics/accessories made in china seem to take forever (Burris AR Pivot Ring, Primary Arms RDS, Lucid, just to name a few)... and even Russian Saigas were dried up for a while (only recently started showing up again)...

When the shipments come in though, everyone carries it and it's plentiful.

The last time Yugo Surplus ran dry, I got real concerned and bought a bunch... but eventually lots of vendors started carrying it again. Will it ever deplete? Probably... but so far it has come in waves (just wait a bit, there will be plenty - for a while, then it will dry up again).

Thanks................Can't belive the millions or billions of rounds produced for the military are gone. There is some Bulgarian on the market. In the mean time, I will wait for the wave to come in.
