    cz 75 rental in SoCal?

    Hi folks,

I'm a been lurking on the forum for a while now and I've finally decided to get involved. Now, I have a bit of a predicament. I'm going to be purchasing my first handgun very soon and I don't have a very large budget. I've got my eyes set on the cz75b, but I don't want to buy a gun without getting a chance to try it out. None of the ranges that I've called seem to have a cz rental of any kind, but I'm sure there has to be one somewhere in socal that has one. Anyway, I decided to throw the question out to the hive mind of calguns. Does anyone know of a way that I can try out a cz75 in the LA area before buying it? Oh, and once I do decide to purchase it, do you guys recommend any particular dealers that stock them? Thanks guys.

I know La Gunclub has one, not sure if 9mm or .40. Call and find out.

I think Magnum Gun Range in Rancho Cucamonga has one.

I know Ade's in Orange loves CZ and does carry a few of them. Last saturday, he put up a CZ 75 sp-01 for about 600 dollars.

For 75 rentals, I haven't really seen one myself.

Firing Line Northridge had a 75b compact for rent awhile back, but I don't know if it's down for repairs or if they got rid of it because I haven't seen it the last couple of times I've gone in.

Couldn't hurt to call and ask though.

Where are you? I have a cz75B in 9mm and live in OC. We might be able to meet up at the Firing Line in Mission Viejo if you want to run a box through it.

I would second the recommendation to buy from Ade - he sold me my 75 and he loves them.

They have a firing line in Mission Viejo now? If they guy is that close, I could bring over my CZ 75b SA.

Thank you for the offer. I live in Palos Verdes, but could definitely take a trip behind the orange curtain for something like that. I wasn't aware there was a firing line in mission viejo. Are you talking about the one in huntington beach?

Sorry - it's an On Target (same deal in my book) - off of Camino Cap and the 5

5 south - exit Avery, turn right, turn right on Camino Cap - head north - it's on the right side next to the freeway.

Wanna trade or sell? I want a 75SA to convert to DA for competition - the SA fits my hands better (I have short fingers).

Wow, you guys are so generous. I'm going to give la gun club a call to see if they have what I'm looking for, since I'm often in that neighborhood anyway. If they don't have it, I'll definitely pm you guys regarding a little trip to the OC.

I have a buddy who is in a similar situation. We went to Oaktree Gun Club and rented a CZ-75B and a CZ P-01 (I think). Both pistols impressed me. As far as dealers stocking them, I've seen them at Turners and Martin B. Retting (but haven't been to Retting in a long while).

                              Good luck with your search!
