You've pulled the barrel out and dropped a new round into it, right? Does it slip easily all the way down with the case mouth headspacing fully on the chamber edge?

If CZ doesn't fix it, look for a gunsmith that's got a lot of experience with IPSC race guns, and has been doing it for 15 or 20 years. P9's used to be the hot ticket, and good gunsmiths learned the foibles on them. Like the crappy undercut sear notch on the hammer. If you ever wished your CZ/P9 didn't have such a crappy single action trigger, it's fixable.

Send it to Angus Hobdell at CZ Custom. He does magical stuff to the CZ pistol. Since he works for CZ as a custom gunsmith, he has an in depth knowledge of the gun, He is an active competitor so he knows what works. He has done a trigger job/reliability package on one of my SP-01s, including a competition hammer and a new trigger. Amazing pistol now. He extensively reworked my TS including the same trigger work plus reducing the size of the grip, recheckering front and back strap, Hard chroming and installing flat aluminum grips and adjustable sights. Another amazing gun.

I'll bet the OPs gun has a sharp chamber edge and a rough extractor. If you know what you are doing this would be a 20 minute fix.

        Sorry for the late response.

I guess I was just really hoping it was ammo, magazine, or the gun just needed some breaking in. But it will be going back very soon.

EDIT: in response to some people's queries:

Rounds drop easily in and out of the chamber.
The feed ramp looks pretty smooth and polished.

I can recreate the jam most of the time by slowly guiding the slide back with a round in the magazine (done with snap caps, of course). The round will enter the chamber about half way and get stuck at a slight angle with the rim of the cartridge barely covering the firing pin hole. Sometimes a light push or even a good shake will send it into battery. Other times, I have to give it a good smack like the bad gun it's being.

I've got several CZ's, and the only time's I've ever had problems were with the Promags. CZ/Mec-Gar mags have never given me any problems.

Now I only use Promags for dryfire practice with Snapcaps.

My CZ has not given me any issues yet. Hope it stays that way.

had my 75B for more than 5 years and still shoots good. It doesn't seem as accurate as when I first got it but it just might be my shooting. I do get a fair amount of failures to fire with my Kadet kit though, but that's probably just the ammo.

I bought two CZ'es recently: a cz75 compact and an sp-01. I put 500 rounds in the compact mode and it had a problem: the trigger pin is coming out. I called CZ custom and sent it back for repair, they paid the shipping fee. SP-01 works flawlessly, I love it.
