duracoating my glock 19

Just picked up my Glock 19 gen 3..cant get a gen 4 in cali.. as you guys probably know.. I also cant get a desert tan Glock in California and i really want my G19 to match the color of my AR. Desert tan. Does anyone know of someone or somewhere thatdoes duracoating in SO. Cal ? Preferably near Riverside? Any suggestions? I know there are do-it-yourself kits out there.. but no way. Im not willing to screw up a $500 gun myself.. Just want to do the frame, not the slide..

You can get a gen4...read up on how to single shot exempt an offlist pistol. It's stickied in the pistol forum.

You should Cerakote it instead. There is some guy who posted up some pics on this site after getting his Glock frame Cerakoted tan (I think) and it looks amazing, as if it came that way from the factory.

Well its too late now, the gun shop I bought it from told me I couldnt get it , so I believed him..I thought I confirmed it on the DOJ website.. anyway, its too late, but I would like to get the frame duracoated desert tan,,,

Im actually not sure exactly what the name of the color is, My AR is a Del-Ton echo 316 MOE with the magpull furniture,, it looks tan to me ,but maybee its Cerakote???

I would suggest cerakote since I heard that is more durable then duracoate.

Let us know what area you are in and I think people should be able to give you referrals to places that might be able to duracoat or cerakote your frame.

Magpul tan is Flat Dark Earth.

I think in Riverside there is FirePower Depot if you can get in touch with them. Not sure if they do Cerakote, but I have seen some Duracoat jobs posted here.

Check out MOA Armory in Azusa. They cerakote. Not too far from Riverside.
