How big is the largest backstrap on gen 4 g17?

Just like the title says. I currently own a glock 21non slim frame and it fits my hand great, but I've been looking into a 9mm. I'm trying to decide if the cost of a gen 4 is worth it to SSE over the gen three if the large backstrap will give me the ergos I like.

Or will the gen three with a hogue grip and grip force adapter give me the same ergos?

I can get gen three 17s for 400 bucks but gen 4s I have to pay full price.

    Thanks fellers.

the Gen 4 frame is based on the slim frame.
No adapter is slim frame size.
Medium adapter is standard frame size, 9mm and 40.
Large adater is large frame size, 45 and 10mm.

Just to point out that the increased size of the Medium and Large are +2mm and +4mm, respectively.

There is no such thing as a "Slim Frame" Glock. The large frame SF's are called Short Frames.

Medium backstrap is supposed to be the same as the GEN 3.
No backstrap is 2mm shorter than the GEN 3 (length of pull)
Large backstrap is 2mm longer than the GEN 3 (length of pull)

I have both a GEN 4 G17 & GEN 4 G19, and with the large backstraps, they aren't even close to the feel of my G20SF or GEN 4 G21.
