    Sig 226 mag question

I took out my 226 and noticed that the factory 10 round mags only held 9 rounds. I checked a few times and you can't get the 10th round in.

Is this normal for sig mags? I need to get a few more for an upcoming Grey Ops training and wanted to make sure I don't have an issue with my factory mags.

    Thanks.

Try it with a Mag Uplula. It took me a while to get my phosphate coated magazines to hold 10.

You shouldn't be using the factory mags anyway. Get a couple Mec Gar mags and you're good to go. If you insist on using the factory mags, I'll have to agree with the above to use the Uplula.

Theres a good chance the factory mags are indeed MecGar mags. I know that my mags are Made in Italy and I have a very difficult time getting that 10th round into it. It is impossible to do with the Uplula. Most of the time, I don't bother with the 10th round...the metal mag lips make my thumb throb (try saying that 5 times haha!).

Their tight, but I can load a 10th round if I really work at it.

                To each his own.

(I have had no problem with the factory 10 round mags)

Their a little difficult the first couple times you fill the mag, but you should be able to get a 10th rd in.

I've never had a problem loading 10 rounds in German made Sig and Mec-Gar mags.
What factory mags do you have? Sig manufactured mags will be marked "Made in Germany", Mec-Gar manufactured Sig mags "Made in Italy" and the recent production factory mags are US made Check Mate Industries mags.

All my 9mm factory Sig (4) and aftermarket Mec-Gar (6) magazines, never had issues reaching maximum capacity when new or ever.
