The CW9 is big, but the CM9 is small and somewhat comparable in size.

However, the CM9 isn't on the roster, but the PM9 is, but that also costs double the price of the LC9

Thanks for the input, but actually I compared the specifications of the LC9 and the CW9 from their websites; I found that they are near identical in size.

I am undecided. I wish I could trial shoot each at a nearby place, but cannot where I reside. I am even considering the Charter Standard revolver in 38. Sorry, I am hijacking the thread. But if anyone wants to PM me with info that is cool!

Kahr makes a much better pistol. If you are willing to spend a little more its worth going to a kahr.

I got mine last month at Turner's for the same price. Ordered a few extra mags from Ruger... and they came with the pinky extension.

It's a smooth little gun for the size of the frame. I bought it because a LEO friend says a lot of guys carry it off duty.

If I were presented with another opportunity to buy it, I would do it again. Good little gun.

The SP101 is a heavy pig compared to the LC9...ask Ruger which is selling better ;-)
I have personally shot one. It is less accurate for me than an Sp-101. I bet the SP101 still sells remarkably well.

Are you comparing the SP-101, a revolver, to the LC9, a semi-auto pistol? That's OK, but I wonder if you mean the LCR, which is a revolver, and more similar to the SP-101 than the LC9.

There are two things I liked best about my LC9...

The size and the fact that I sold it and bought a G19..I couldn't stand firing the LC9 not to mention that it has a few characteristics I didn't like.

As far as I can tell, they are plagued with problems, do not cycle reliably, aren't terribly accurate, have a loaded chamber indicator, a safety that is basically non operational with one hand, and have a magazine disconnect which besides sucking just by it's own existence, is also known to malfunction. To boot, the trigger is garbage, the sights are less than ideal at best, and the gun is not that small.

I want to love this thing, but I'm just not seeing the virtues of it.

Why not get something more accurate, reliable, powerful? Even Ruger's own SP101 2.25" .357 is not much larger, and packs a lot more heat.

                      Sadly, I must agree 100%
