Question about HK P30L

I want to purchase an HK P30L V3 chambered in 40. The problem that I found is that it comes with a safety lever. I have researched around and cannot find a definite answer if the safety lever can be removed and plugged up. I like the DA/SA. Not interested in the LEM.

Can anyone help with this? Thanks.

Uh.... I may be wrong but I thought HK P30L = no safety. HK P30LS = longer barrel and safety.

You're right the P30L is without safety.

On HK website they offer what I want in 9 but not 40.

You can change variant on HK pistol including safety lever. You can send back to HK have them make changes for you or buy the parts and DIY. Looks like you have to get a P30LS then do the mod. Email HK CS for answer.

I thought about going on HKPRO but something about that site makes it seems like they are against modifying an HK weapon. I read a few threads over there and it seems like HK are to be left alone according to them.

Looks like P30LS to P30L is not possible per this thread. However this thread was almost 2yrs old so thing may be different today. Best is email HK CS directly.

I sent them an email already. I'll wait for a response from them and see what they have to say. Like you said, it's been almost 2 years since the thread was last updated. Someone has to have modified that already.
