help identifying ammo

I found 50 rounds of this ammo in my dads closet.. it says "winchester 38 SPL+P" on it.. I never seen ammo with bullet that sits flush with the casing..

could some1 give me a link to this ammo online so i can have a general idea what i can seel it for in the for sale forums

Those are wadcutters and are generally pretty accurate. Bullseye shooters like them because they leave nice, easy to see holes in the target.

double-ended wadcutters, likely 148grn. good target round. shot a 4" group @50yds a hair off-center on a silhouette with a crosswind that had blown off my closer targets. this was out of a 2.5" 686. wish i had saved that target. wadcutters cut perfectly clean holes in paper, and people if you so prefer. shoot and enjoy, recoil isn't bad either.

Must be reloads: "+P" was "people ammo" and not loaded with the wadcutter bullet. It was a hotter .38 Special load, but not as hot as .357 -- had warnings not to shoot it in the older pistols.

Are those HBWC? HBWC upside down was an old skool hollow point SD load.

WC are target loads. Doubt they would be +P.

Wadcutters work well at lower velocity. I have never seen factory +p wadcutter loads.

From the crimp, they appear to be reloads.

Are all the cases nickle? I cannot tell feom the pics if one is brass and one is nickle
