Guys the handguns are getting hard to find. Wilson combat is over a year out and Nighthawk Custom also a year out. This is a bad sign.

Forgot to say, all high quality 1911's are not going to on the Gun dealer shelves. Glock will be the same and S&W next. the price will go UP!!

There are lots of guns stores in my area and even a few more have recently opened up. All of these shops have plenty of handguns from all the major companies. I would suggest making a shopping trip outside your normal area if you're having a problem finding a handgun.

Well it is starting up again, Wilson custom handguns is over a year out for deliver. NightHawk the same. Better buy now if you want them.. Guns America has a few but they won't last at this rate. What the Hell is going on?

There is demand for nice guns. Nice guns take longer to make and are produced in lower quantities.

Wilson Combat and Nighthawk have always been commonly known to take 12-18 months on new orders. The supply and demand has not changed. I just came back from Reno where one shop had 3 nighthawks and 2 wilson combats sitting in the case. They said they acquired all the pistols from staying in contact with the reps and asking to take possession of any orders that people didn't follow through with and buy. The bottom line is most shops just aren't willing to tie up their funds by stocking up their shelves with guns that everyone wants to see, but only a few can afford. Money is generated for the shop much faster having 3-10 more moderately priced pistols on display for the same "dealer cost" that 1 fancy safe queen would be.

I think ruger had record sales last year I'm sure there is no gun shortage they're like the McDonald's of guns. Sales wise. If they're ok the others are too

It's a good sign that guns are more prevalent, and are becoming more acceptable. We'll see more and more custom gun shops open up, which is good. Wilson may have a year wait, but there are still many other options. Most people over look their local smiths who can build a gun just as well as Wilson or Baer and for usually less money, and for usually less of a wait.
