can I sue Turners?

I'm thinking about making some waves against Turners, for my latest PPT transfer @ Pasadena Turners they forced me to buy the blue lock although my gun came with one and gave me all that Federal Law crap talk as usual. But when I picked up the gun they did not give me the freaking lock I paid for. This is the THIRD time that they charged me for a lock and didn't give it to me when I picked up my firearm.

By their own statement that "it is illegal by federal law for them to let me walk out of the store with a gun without buying one of their CA approved locks" didn't they just violate this same law they push on everyone when they failed to give me the lock, 3 times.

And if their whole talk of the Federal Law is indeed a real federal law, then why the hell does it have to be a California approved lock? Wouldn't a California Approved anything be state law? Seems like a contraction when they use CA law lock requirement (if there even is one) to enforce a Federal Law requiring a lock to sell their cheap made in China blue gun locks.

I want to report Turners to some authority and get them in trouble for failing to give me these stupid locks I paid for. Or maybe sue them, I had a ton of bad experiences at Turners & I would love to see them go out of business.

If you bought a lock you would have a receipt. Why are you leaving the store without the goods you paid for?

Yeah, I have to agree. If they forced that lock on you then there is no way in hell you should have walked out without it. Then to do it 3 times?

To answer your question though, anyone can sue. Just figure out if it is a small claims sized judgement you want or Superior court sized.

Seems like a lot of trouble over a $5 lock. Even if they did give you the lock, would you actually use it? Just stop going to Turner's, there are better gun stores out there.

Why not buy a DOJ approved gun safe? Keep the receipt and you will never have to spend $5 again for the cable lock.

Keep in mind, what covers their *** is the receipt. They can show they sold you a lock. There's a paper trail.

I thought all you had to was sign a safe afidavit? My dad didnt have to buy a lock when he purchased a handgun last time.

I have a question. Did you go back and ask them about the lock? They may have forgotten to give it to you and shame on them for the mistake but did you go back and ask for it?

Has anyone you know EVER made use of a single one of the cheapo approved gunlocks we are forced to buy? I never have, and don't know anyone who ever has. I lock up the case on a new pistol for the ride home (I bring one of my many little combo padlocks with me for that express purpose), and from that point on it either lives in my gunsafe or gets transported to be shot in one of the locking compartments of my range bag. I have an ammo can FULL of unused cheapo "mandatory" gun locks in their original packaging. What a waste of time and resources!

EDIT Just noticed you said PPT's - - I don't think the mandatory gunlock applies to PPT's, but I'm not sure about that - - my last PPT handgun was before things changed. Oops! Sorry!

May'be you should consider buying a lock the day of or day before, bring the receipt with you and show it to them the next time you go (if there is a next time) that way you take the X factor out of the equation.

if you've had a ton of bad exp. then why keep buying guns there? your tag says orange county , so go to ade's .. youd feel pretty stupid in court suing over 3 5$ locks , i'm sure you're time is worth more than that , you're not gonna put them out of buisness , the judge would laugh at you b4 throwin yer *** out of his court , some stores excel in cust service and knowledge , others have blow out prices , rarely do the 2 exist together
