    Wow, she does love me

My wife got me a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec for Valentines day and my upcoming birthday. From what she said it was hard to find because everyone only stocks the GI or some of the higher end models. She found one at Fowlers. The guy tried to tell her they were all GI models but she made him go in the back and bring out all the 1911's they had there and open the box and she had to point out the differences between the GI and the Mil-Spec until they finally found an actual Mil-Spec model. Didn't know she knew that much about them Apparently she wanted that pistol as much as I did.

Sorry about that rant, i forgot to mention congrats on that 1911 and make sure you enjoy it and her. I hope you got her something nice!

Damn! And I thought I was lucky when mine called to tell me to cancel dinner plans and take her to the range instead!

I've been in there 2 times within the last 10 days to do a PPT. Both times they have been absolutely great. Even while standing around waiting for PistolCrockett to arrive (the other half of the PPT) I never once overheard them go off on anyone. I wonder why the big difference?

I've been to Fowlers many times for primers and stuff but only bought one firearm there. They've always been super nice and attentive to me but they don't seem to know a lot about the pistols they sell. And obviously their pricing is a little high on guns. She got the mil-spec for $700 after taxes and DROS. I'd have preferred she not spend that much but hey its a new gun for the collection so I will let it slide this time.

I bought a 870 from Fowler's and they were cool. Not the nicest guys but they had what i was looking for. They do have a good selection but their prices are on the high end.

Congratulations on the new family member!! And even more so on a woman who appreciates guns, or at least appreciates that you appreciate guns!

As for Fowlers, I understand they have two different stores? The one I went to, and currently have a Colt .45LC and a shotgun in DROS at, were really helpful. I went in just to look around (was doing a transfer across the street at Ade's.)

I had questions about the Colts and several other guns and reloading and ended up speaking or working with several different people and they were all great.

Now, just 4 more days and I get to go back and pick up my goodies!!

If you know how many guns you have... you don't have enough guns.

People need to remember that the same guys who wrote the 1st Amendment, also wrote the 2nd Amendment... and for the same exact reasons.

Funny, Sam Fowler always treated me right, so did the Santa Ana Gunroom along with their neighbors the Orange County gunroom.

I know the feeling, my wife who hates guns bought me a 10/22 and "allowed" my GLOCK 17 because she loves me and my happiness more than her personal/political views.

I returned the favor by getting her a Mossy 500 20 gauge cos' she loves shooting clays. Baby steps.

Hehe nice Thats what it took for me too. My wife hated guns until people were getting raped in our old apartment complex and she realized nobody could protect her except her. Nowdays, she knows almost as much as I do about the insides and out of all the guns we own, which is a sizable pile. When she went to get the mil-spec she had to point out to the guys at the store that it had a stainless barrel and different grips than the GI model they were trying to sell her.

For the record I sent her a big *** thing of flowers to her work and made her dinner. Not as nice as a new pistol, but oh well.
