Has anyone fired their 25th Anniversary Glock 17?

Just asking because the last time I was on leave I impulse bought a 25th Anniversary Glock knowing I didn't have the time to shoot it and that medallion in the grip seemed pretty cool. Now that I'm on leave again, I actually do have the opportunity to shoot it.

I don't know what the potential value that commemorative guns can accrue fired vs. unfired. Better to keep it as a display/presentation gun and buy another Glock or shoot to my hearts content? (It is my first Glock too)

I would shoot it, and keep a nice detailed report of rounds fired. That is unless you're a true collector and planning to ride out a long term investment.

I wouldn't buy a gun I couldn't shoot. What's the point? Might as well buy a nice painting then. Of commemorative thimbles or something like that.

I had one, fired it and since sold it, bought me a regular g17 gen4. To me the words "safe queen" and "Glock" just don't go together

I have a gen3 OD glock 19 but never planned on "collecting it" got a little over 3500 rounds through it. I was hoping one day it would be worth a little extra but some dude at a LGS told me that the OD gen3 dont have high re sale value because they arnt as sought after? I think thats BS and he just wanted to take it off my hands

Being a Glock, its about as commemorative as a "Special Edition" Toyota Camry. The Glock 17 is one of the most prolific guns on the face of the planet; its got as much chance of being a collectors item as a Ford F150.
