CZ 75BD Update

Hey Everyone,

Many of you have commented on my newly purchased CZ 75 BD in 9mm thread from a couple weeks ago. I wanted to give you an update.

I posted my CZ for sale because there were many things that were really bugging me about it and I wanted the gun to go to someone who appreciated it.

So for the last few weeks I entertained offers for it while I rented possible replacements.

Here is my report:

Glock 17 - Although it may be one day a curiosity purchase, it is not the current gun for me. Grip just doesn't feel quite right. Not the angle, just the shape.

XD9 - I love just about everything about this gun - grip feel, looks, smooth trigger, price, but I just couldn't shoot it well and another polymer stole my heart...

M&P - I had written this gun off a few weeks ago, but yesterday I rented it just to see what all the fuss is about. Wow! What a nice shooter. I shot better with it than the other two and was sold until I picked up my CZ for comparison...

Yes, it's heavier. Yes, the sights are small and mags aren't as cheap as the other three, but I couldn't miss with the thing.

I love how it makes me feel when I shoot it. I know with even more rounds through it and some new sights - I'll realize why you all screamed at me to give it a chance.

Hahaha no problem. That's the thing, try it and break it in, then shoot other guns. The cz will be a wet dream in the palm of your hands.

If you like the xd try the xd 9 tactical has a 5in barrel and to shots very well, I rented one last week and I really enjoyed it, but I won't be selling my cz, something about an all steel gun

Yup, my CZ and stainless P226 are my favorite 9's.

Good thing you tried a Glock 17 not a 19 or you may not have been making all these CZ owners so happy...! Jk I am a big CZ fan and believe with ample break in and the right sights they are a great choice. Enjoy.

I just received and installed new springs from the Custom Shop and wow what a difference. The CZ is lining up to be one of my favorites.

I FREAKIN LOVE CZ's!!!! I CANT MISS WITH THEM. I WOULD EVEN GRAB MY CZ 97 OVER ANY OF MY 1911s.
I WOULD ACTUALLY PICK ANY OF MY CZ's OVER ANY OF MY HANDGUNS IF MY LIFE WAS ON THE LINE, LOL.

One of the nicest things about the CZ is how much you can customize it to suit your preferences. Trigger pull weight, trigger distance, DA/SA or SAO, grip options that really change the feel of it, sights, spring weights, hammers, and much more...

If i can shoot straight with a CZ it must be a special gun...

I saw your comment with the XD. You need to remember that its not the "standard" sight picture most people shoot with, but a "pie on a post" hold. Basically aim slightly low and you should be GTG.

I was shooting my buddies xd9 today and he's used to using a six o clock hold and aiming under it and wasn't hitting jack shnitt. Mind you he's sent it bak and replace the barrel. I picked it up and lined up the dots and shot enter mass and was gettin bullseyes aiming dead on. So it might also be stance and grip?
Was shooting dead on with my p01 and his xd9. Oh yah and my awesome 30-30
