    Phaser vs TurboLaser vs 10mm

Considering the trend of recent caliber topics, I couldn't resist.

I'd like to discuss the advantages/disadvantages of the Phaser, TurboLaser & 10mm. Any and all input is welcome, but let's keep it within the realm of reality please.

You want to discuss lasers and phasers vs 10mm while keeping it in the realm of reality?

I think this thread has 2 post too many. LOLOLOLOL

What wattage are said laser devices? Everyone knows the 10mm can implode galaxies in the wrong hands.

Ok, so I can't edit the poll, but all the ones I missed sound glorious. What situations does your choice work best? How many bullets does it hold? Do you have extra clips? Is there a lot of aftermarket support? How about holster options?

A Phaser is tremendously flexible, can stun, kill, disintegrate, start fires, etc.

It's definitely capable of one stop shots.

Phazers also do not need to be aimed that a bonus too.

Is a "miss" with a Phaser the same as a "miss" with a 25ACP? How's the muzzle flip & recoil during follow up shots? Did you go with a grip reduction/stipple job or was skateboard tape good enough?

That's good because I hate adjustable sights.

The problem with lasers is ... do they shoot through fog or smoke?

You can keep a non-visible-light laser aimed at a tank and burn through the hull, a thousand 10mm rounds might not do that. But on the other hand, the laser light could be detected with some cameras which would exactly pinpoint your location.

Lasers also have infinite range, though dust particles will eventually dissipate its stopping power.

Phasers are good because, like mentioned, they can stun, kill, disintigrate and self destruct, but best of all ... you can heat up rocks to keep warm with them! But as a weapon, well, basically everyone can see where you are shooting from.

I say the best is the Special Edition Red Ryder BB Gun from Fallout 2. A critical hit to the eye can explode mutants.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

                            There. Are. Four. Lights!

Is a turbolaser even a handgun?
