Help me ID a Revolver

I vaguely remember when my Dad bought his first handgun. It was early or mid eighties. It was from an Airman who was stationed at Clark Air Base (US base) in the Philippines. I knew for a fact that at that time air force police were issued a Baretta 92f as their sidearm( in which he eventually bought also) It was a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson Revolver and wants to know if anyone is familiar which model was it and for sentimental reasons would want to buy one here.

If it was Air Force issue to security police personnel then it was almost certainly a Smith & Wesson Model 15. Known early on as the 'Combat Masterpiece' they were issued to many police officers over the years, including LAPD in large numbers.



USAF marked Model 15s, such as pictured, are often a collector premium. A decent Model 15, without USAF markings, can often be had at a reasonable price. S&W made a lot of them and they are solid, great shooting revolvers.

I'm pretty sure that the Air Force used S&W Model 15s.
