    .22LR Derringer?

I was wondering if I could get some suggestions of quality .22LR Derringers. I know nothing about them. The only one that has caught my eye is the Davis D-22 but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks in advance

Definitely a 2-shot derringer and not a revolver? You can get an NAA mini revolver in .22 LR or .22 Magnum at a good price and they are very high quality firearms. They are SO easy to carry. They have been proven in many self defense shootings.

Yeah, it's a super duper back up gun. But if you're wearing something that prohibits the carry of a larger gun, there's basically no excuse to not have one of these on you.

In my jeans 5th pocket! Fits in a totally normal-sized 5th pocket and just the handle sticks out. Perfect place to carry one.

Compared to an S&W .500 haha

I have a few Davis somewhere in my vault -- .22, .22 WMR and maybe one in .25 but if you can find one get a High Standard .22 Mag. It's flat, tough and works.

I don't think Davis is in business anymore. I think they Were made by Cobra for a while and now maybe under a different name. the 1 I shot was made out of zinc ,pot metal with a steel barrel liner, later ones not from Davis were made out of steel. very slow to reload, not at all accurate, and a terrible trigger. it did look cool and feel good in your hand and did a fire every time I pulled the trigger and that 1 was in 32 caliber. 1 good thing about the Davis type was the price but was around 80 dollars or less new as I remember.

High Standard derringer. They are an over/under two shot made in 22 lr and 22 mag. I'm seeing them more and more lately. Takes two men and a boy to pull the trigger, so they won't go off accidentally. Take the grips off and arguably the smallest, flattest gun you can put in your pocket.

For novelty purposes, it suits that need just fine. If you're hellbent on a Davis style, Jimenez Arms makes a faithful copy. In fact I think the owner is somehow related to the Davis/Jennings/Bryco clan. NAA Mini's are very nice little guns. They are very well made, especially for the price. Given that it's five shots rather than two, it makes a better self defense weapon, but certainly not something I would want to get in a gunfight with.
If I remember right, Jimenez worked for one of those companies as a manager and bought equipment when they went under.

I have a NAA .22 Derringer. Use it when I hike and during camping trips. Overall a great piece. I could see how in a stress situation it would do the job, especially if shooting a person at a distance of no more than 8-12 feet. Any further and I find it to be very hard to accurately shoot.

The darn little thing is extremely loud for it's size.
