    Never tried it, never will.

I personally would buy a Pistol that is a Dedicated .22 from the ground up, it will serve you better.

    Just my two cents.

I am under the impression that the 9mm ejector won't clear some kits because its taller.

My Kimber Target II 9mm works perfectly with the Advantage Arms .22LR conversion kit.

This isn't really germane to the thread here because it's not about 1911s, but I thought I would just comment that your statement isn't always true. The CZ Kadet Kit .22 LR conversion upper turns your CZ75-based gun into one of the highest quality, most accurate, most reliably-functioning .22 LR semi-auto pistols on the market. I have shot Sig Mosquitos, Walther P22s, Buckmarks and MKIII and such, and the CZ conversion upper is less ammo sensitive and has less function errors. It's even more reliable than the 10-22s that I have shot. Feeding, firing, and ejecting it's pretty freakin' good with every ammo I have tried in it.

So... just saying that there are conversion kits that will serve you at least as well as most full-on .22 pistols. Plus, you are shooting your same gun with the same grip and the same trigger and battery of arms and all of that stuff, so it is legitimate training. I put some money and effort into my CZ's trigger and have custom grips on it, etc, so I love being able to shoot cheap .22 LR out of it and continue to use these things.
