Glock 23c Failure to slide lock back

hello,

i need your help i have a Glock 23c that failure to slide lock back after the last round. 100% of the time it does it,

I tried different brand ammo
I load mag 1 round each
I bought a new mag tried it

All those Fails, Idk what else to do.

Glock is New only less than 300 rounds
I am original Owner, bought it new

This is my Night STand aswell

Any suggestions or input

Just to make sure, since it's happened to my brother, are you making sure your thumbs aren't riding the slide stop in any way shape or form?

Did you try changing magazines? Sometimes the spring is weak and doesn't push the mag follower up high enough or with enought force.

Have you had the weapon apart lately;did something to the slide release.? Sometimes people install the mag release lever WRONG. Make sure you install the UPPER PIN first, then the mag release PIN (larger on bottom). You want that spring to go UNDER the upper pin, not over the top.

I always blame the mags and that's usually the issue..

Since you already debunked that.. Your thumb may be releasing the slide on firing.
If not your release may be warn. But I doubt it.

I just Grip my glock and i maybe riding the slide stop, will try it next time range day

No mods at all completely stock but will try to take it apart small pin first then big pin (bottom pin) got it.

With an empty mag and empty gun will the slide lock back if you hand cycle it?

Also see if you can have a friend or some else shot it to make sure its not user caused via your grip.

I had a similar issue when I started trying out thumb forward grip and realized it was me causing the failure since it would not happen when my friend shot it. I have since modify my grip slightly from then that I have not had it occur again.

Do you shoot with both hands?

My cz was doing this too and I thought I got a lemon. Then I shot it with one hand and had no issues. I realized that my thumb was pushing the slide release when I was shooting with both hands... funny, I'm not even a blond

Definitely check to see if your thumb rests on the slide stop. It happens to a lot of people including myself

That would make the slide lock back after every round. Sounds like the OP is riding the slide stop.

Riding the slide stop is pretty common and can be easily fixed once you sort it out... one reason I can't shoot XD pistols is that the ergos are such that the slide stop sits under my strong hand thumb *every* time. That's why I shoot M&P.

I do have a couple of Glocks also though.
