STI Eagle 5 - Good gun?

I have an AR up for sale, and have a trade offer for a STI Eagle 5 in .38 Super. I'm not so familiar with the STI guns, but from the reading I've done tonight they seem to be quality. Anyone here have personal experience with this gun?

My other concern is that the gun comes with three high-cap mags. I assume I can't use these mags in CA, and have been searching for 10 round mags without much luck. Can anyone recommend a source for CA legal mags for this gun?

    Thanks...

take his mags as rebuilds and block them to only hold 10 rounds. if you ever leave you have reg mags aging just remove the block

You got that right. I don't reload, and have no time to take reloading on. Looks like I could shoot .40 cheaper than .38 Super. Thanks for the responses, I'm going to pass on the trade.
