    1 handgun per month

    I just called Turners in Chino hills to ask how much they would do a private party transfer and to see if it was legal or ok to do the private party transfer Eventhough I just bought a brand new handgun 4 days ago. The Person from the hunting department told me its 1 handgun per month including private party transfers. He explained to me that what it is, is one serial number of a handgun to my name per 30 days.

    Did something change in the rules? I thought I can do as many private party transfers as my wallet can afford?

      No....he just didn't know what he was talking about. What's new with Turners' employees.

      PPT's are except from the 1 in 30 requirement unless it is done within LA city limits.

              You can also BUY as many new handguns per month as your wallet can afford. You just have to wait 30 days till you DROS another new one.

              Best to wait 31 days though. Sometimes the DOJ is as adept at math as Big 5.

                                          Turners is a rather big company And as such they have to set Rules for All employees to follow Because John in Kearny Mesa could be dumb as a rock (I am sorry if there really is a John in Kearny Mesa I am just trying to make an example) wile Fred in Pasadena will know everything about California Laws. When in doubt speak to manager of the store that you want to do business with they are usually more knowledgeable than Regular hunting department guys.

                                              i ended up going to turners in Corona. worked with Mike M. the dept. manager. Real cool guy and knows what he is doing and very helpful.
