Just picked up my new Dan Wesson V-bob

What do you guys think about these stocks/grips for the V-bob?

Your Dan Wesson is a pretty gun! I remember when Dan Wessons were in the sub $1K range. I should have picked at least one up then.

Thanks and yes sir it is. It is the traditional 4 and 1/4" barrel/slide.

Your Dan Wesson is a pretty gun! I remember when Dan Wessons were in the sub $1K range. I should have picked at least one up then.

They have come up in price, quite precipitously. However, it's worth noting that as good as the older ones still are, the new models benefit from even closer tolerances, and more advanced manufacturing and materials. Even with the higher prices, one would have a hard time finding another gun (1911) for the same price, which is as well made and with such high-quality parts.

Congratulation. You will love the Vbob. Dan Wesson makes a fine 1911. I am planning to get a Specialist to join my Vbob. You and I have similar taste in grips. I match my Vbob with a VZ Zebra grips, too.

That is really cool! Thanks for posting that picture. I wanted to see what it looked like before I bought them. Looks like Ill be buying them quite soon, lol.
