    Is custom legal?

If a Cal list gun has been customized (shorten barrel) is it legal? A 7.5 inch barrel cut to 4 inch, the list specifies 7.5, does the cut barrel nix it?

At the time you take possession, the pistol must be as listed on the certified roster. Once you take possession of it, you can make any change you wish as long as doing so doesn't violate any state law, such as installing a threaded barrel. You can freely change the barrel length, change its finish, and so on.

Thank you Dr. Lunde. Another no bid situation. I'm coming to the conclusion I'll have to do a custom build, or get very lucky.

If the pistol in question is in California, meaning that the seller is local for you, it can be handled as a PPT, which are exempt from being on the certified list.

It was out of state, a Redhawk custom. Shopping in Cal saves lots of money. Thank you again.
