    My RIA 1911

Here is my new Rock Island Armory 1911, also there is a picture of the grips I've been looking at getting, also I would really like to know where I could buy a threaded barrel with thread cover

Are you going to permanently attach the thread protector to the barrel?

Threaded barrel's are illegal in CA, you can put it on but a thread protector or compensator will have to be permantly attached.

What I wanted to do was use a compensator on there but I would like the option to remove it, but if i can't do that then I would like to get a ported extended barrel but not too much longer maybe 5" 1/2 or 6" what do you guys suggest
