Loading Magazines

So I bought about 5 or 6 extra clips for my Glock. I loaded them up today so I can go shoot tomorrow. Maybe I am a sissy but my thumbs hurt like heck after the first clip. Plus when I got to the last few rounds I could barely get the rounds in the mag. This is my first handgun. Do they make a loader to make this easier? Is it because the mags are new? Am I doing it wrong? Sorry to wine but I couldn't even finish loadding the last few clips. My thumbs hurt. Thanks guys.

Get a speed loader!!! That will save your fingers big time

uplula speed loader google it, and be prepared to get told its no a clip it's a magazine over and over, good luck

Your glock should have come with a speed loader in the case. Yes, Its because they are new and they will become easier as they break in. Now that you own a gun lets try a little correct terminology. Clips= magazines. Finally, get yourself a girlfriend. You need to work on strenghtening those finger muscles.

It's because it is new, but mostly because they're Glock mags and they are notorious for that. Get an UpLula.

Please use the term mags or magazines when referencing magazines

With time you will develop better coordination when loading the mags. It makes it easier and faster once you develope the hang of it. Your thumb hurts less as you press at the right time

The loader is helpful for the last two or three

Also have the floorplate of the mag on the shooting bench so that when you press down to load a round you are pressing the bottom of the mag into the table

First of all they are magazines, not clips. Clips are what are used to load magazines, as in a stripper clip for an SKS. If you are running 10 round glock mags, they suck. Just put 9 rounds in them. The trick is to push the back of the round in the magazine down with your left thumb then slip the new round in with your right hand.

I also just bought a new AK. I bought a WASR. Will the speed loader work with those MAGAZINES too.

Why does everyone get all jumpy as soon as someone incorrectly uses the term "clip"??? It's no big deal....i'm sure some people use it just as a slang. It's like people who say rims on a car and everyone going NONONGOERNORNVONVORVHONONONO RIM IS THE OUTER EDGE OF THE WHEEL.....IT'S CALLED WHEEL!!!!!!!!!&^~^@%~!

Mike, definitely get the uplula! It's wonderful, and works great on 9mm, 40, and 45ACP. I also have the baby uplula for my 380's. Shop around online for the best price. I've seen them range from $24 to almost $40. I'm not sure, but I think I got my last one from CDNN for $24-$26. My wife and I shoot a lot at one time, and using these... Loading 20-40 magazines is a breeze!

When I hear "clip" I think "huge giant banana shaped mags hanging beneath AK-47s" cause that's what they always called em around us.

Not those little mags that go in CA guns. :/
