Where in the Bay Area? You may not want to travel depending on where you are.

      I'm in East Bay (Hayward).
I don't mind driving up to an hour away.
Just frustrated at seeing normal transfer rates out of state for $20 but in CA they range from $60-$100.

Figure $25 of it is for the gov't fees. The rest is whatever the FFL wants to put in their pocket. $75 is the cheapest I've seen. Either Metco in Fairfield or Rogers Relics in Santa Clara.

I've heard nothing but good about Roger's Relics in Santa Clara and that's where I plan to have one of my guns sent to.

If you're willing to drive to Milpitas, Rob Blank aka RMB Enterprises is the place you want to go

(I "think" that's what the previous poster mean, RMB is Rob's initials)

He and Lisa are good people, you will probably deal with Lisa. And yes he charges $75.00 (although I'm assuming if you were buying long guns you could combine DROS fees). The best thing about RR is that he only does transfers, so he is not going to whine about anything your LGS would complain about, he won't be ignoring "other paying customers" and you make an appointment to get your transfer done, and you are in and out in minutes.

                        ^Very much a plus.

However I just realized that since it would be a transfer from my father in Florida, he would only have to hand me the gun and I complete this form:

                        Correct?

                        Sorry for all the questions.
                        Thanks guys!

Fairfield Pawn in Fairfield, CA charges $10 for FFL transfers. I have used him before for a purchase off of grabagun.com and would recommend them for a cheap FFL.

^Now that right there seems amazing.

Seems as though I can just fill out the form I posted above and pay $19 since its in the family and call it a day though.

                              Fairfield Pawn sounds great though.
