Red Jacket 1911 thoughts.

So I am sure alot of you guys have seen the show Son's Of Gun's on the Discovery channel, well they just started there line of custom 1911's, there asking price is $1735.00 I want to know what you guys think of it, do any of you own one, is it worth the price or are you just buying the Red Jacket name, here is a link.

What intrigues you about their 1911? If their show is indicative of their products, I'd look elsewhere, but then again, I don't know what you're looking for in a gun.

I wasn't even considering buying one of there 1911 way to expensive at the moment, I just bought a RIA 1911 that was pretty much all I was willing to pay for my first 1911, at the moment I have 0% experience with the 1911 model so I went with a cheap one to start off with, later on down the line if I like the way it feels and shoots I may decide to go with a higher end 1911 such as Colt or Kimber, I was just wonder what everyone thought of the Red Jacket 1911's quality, its a somewhat fun show to watch lol.

Costs as much as a Nighthawk or TRP Operator but without the "bells and whistles". Looks like a RIA with a magwell. They dont look bad. If they were $1000 less (about $700) I MIGHT consider picking one up.......maybe.
