It's on the website and at the SHOT Show, anyone know about DOJ testing?

    Asked about it.

The S&W guy was confident about CA testing, etc. as it was a standard catalogued production item - not a special limited run for Lew Horton, etc.

I want one... with Ahrends Morado ungrooved/uncheckered grips added.

Oh - I will just say this for now, "Smith & Wesson understands California gunnies." Expect good things in the future...

Will there be a blued one (27)? 6-shot cylinder? Different barrel lengths? It's probably somewhere, and I should do a search, but it's late and if someone knows offhand, please indulge me. Thanks.

Thieves are the lowest form of life out there, except for liberal politicians, of course, but that's redundant.

S&W is KILLING me this year. So far...I have to add...

          1) the 627 8-shot standard production
          2) the 627 "pro" (non performance center)
          3) the nickel 24 and 27 in 4" and 6.5".
          4) the 29 in nickel
          5) plus whatever "utility rifle" they see fit to modify for California gun owners...

...hopefully the drop testing/appproval will be spread out over a few months to allow me to dollar-cost-average these purchases.....otherwise I may have some 'splainin to do to my wife...

I was just looking at Shot Show pics of the Pro 627 and for $50 more MSRP, it may be what I want.

Any news on the 627 Pro? I just checked the Roster and I didn't see it.

Looks like it was approved yesterday. I won a 627 Pro at the IRC back in June. When we tried to do the transfer it wasn't on the list so S&W replaced it with a Performance Center 627. Nice of S&W and good for me!
                          where are my pistol mags?

I'm waiting on their Night Guard series. The .44 Special is on the list as of yesterday, but the .45ACP still isn't "approved".

Aww, geez, you ruined my day. But thanks for the info, I hadn't checked the Roster update in awhile.

I was just about ready to make arrangements to import a single-action new 627 w/4-1/8" bbl (the one with traditional bbl profile)!!

Really wish it had an unfluted cylinder though.
