Kimber Custom II and VZ grips question...

Hey guys, sorry if this is a redundant or obvious question I tried searching and couldn't find anything. On VZ's website there are 4 different "grip profiles", Full size bobtail, full size magwell, fullsize standard and compact standard. I am not sure if I need to get the full size magwell or fullsize standard for my Kimber custom II.

    This is the the diagram:

They also list 3 different styles, I dont understand what these are.

Bobtail (Not available on Compact) $5
    Super Carry/E-Series Round Butt $5
Beveled Bottom (Not available on Magwell) $4

These options are on the bottom of this link:
VZ Grips makes the finest custom 1911 grips, handgun grips, rifle grips, and firearm accessories on the planet! Made in the USA.

This are the grips I want, just don't know what options would give me this look.

Fullsize Standard...I prefer with the beveled bottom.

The grips in the picture you have in your post, and which are in my attached picture (my Kimber with Aliens), are of the the "Full Size Standard" without thumb indentation. I ordered them as part AI-B-G10. Hope this helps.

Awesome, that's what I thought! Does the beveled bottom just round at the bottom of the grip?

What are the Bobtail and Super Carry/E-Series Round Butt options?

Does the picture of the fun above have any of those options?

        Thanks!

My picture does NOT have the Ambi or Thumb Notch/Mag Release options. Looking at my invoice, I do NOT have the Beveled Bottom option either. My understanding is that the Beveled Bottom option has a slight radiusing (non-square edge) on grip edge that is horizontal and immediataley adjacent to the magazine/magazine well.

These things are HARD as cement; sometime I think I should have ordered with the Thumb Notch, but they don't annoy my anywhere near enough to consider getting a new set. Enjoy.

Wow, you guys are awesome, that's why I love this forum! Do you think the Aliens are too rough for range/home defense or should I opt for the "softer" gator backs?

Depends on you really. Everyone's tolerances to texture is different. Aliens are usually tolerable for most people.

The grips in your original post are the full size standard without the beveled bottom. You may want to call in your order instead of placing it online. That way you get exactly what you want.

I called in to order my Recons with the options I wanted which could not be selected in combination on the website. VZ is very accommodating and can make their grips with whatever combination of features you want.
