So true haha.... I have shot enough ammo out of my pistol to get myself 2-3more of the same handgun.

I agree on the reloading, if I started doing it from the get-go I would have already recouped the cost of the press.

500 rounds? Is that even enough to be considered "bulk"?

Awesome links.. What powder do you use for handgun? Ive only heard of using tight group but your site doesnt list it. So im curous what powder do you use when buying from them and is it a clean/fast burning powder? Trying to find a clean medium powder not to scorch my new GP100. Been reading up on the scourching the frame with fast burning light round bullets for 357.

Cant say for 357, but win231 for 9mm/45acp has worked really well for me. Started with bullseye, but was to dirty.
Unless your ordering in LARGE quantity ( 5k+ primers, 8lbs+ powder ) its usually worth it to buy local due to hazmat shipping fees, but YMMV.

Yea so it came to the same thing if i go tight group with CCI primers and tight group with 125g round nose lead it comes out to about $165 to load 9mm which is bullet mans exact price but with FMJ and pre bagged per 50.. Hard to beat..

But Im waiting on a quote for his 357.. which is where Im really interested in reloading for.. I know the smaller calibers are hard to beat costs for just plinking rounds..

Man, I pay around 90-110 per 1k to reload depending on which bullet I'm using, and I'm not even ordering in large quantities.

For anyone interested, this is a basic reloading calculator you can use to get an idea your cost of reloading vs factory/reloads.
