Newbie Question about my Glock 17...

I am geting my new Glock 17 out of jail in a week...

Does anybody have a pic of a Glock 17 (or anything similar) with a 15 and 33 round clip in it? I just want to see how it looks. Does the 15 round clip stick down further? I know the 33 round has to stick out further...

Sorry if these are dumbe questions but yes I am a newb... LOL.

Before someone else rips you a new one.... the proper term is magazine, not "cilp".

The G17 comes with either a 10 round mag (for restricted capacity states) or a 17 round mag. the 17 rounder does not "stick down" any further than the 10 rounder.

Since Glocks do not feed from clips, your difficulty in finding a picture makes sense. Im interested myself in seeing a Glock 17 with a 33 round clip in the action.

Sorry about saying "Clip"... I know better than that. It is just stuck in my head since before I have been reading on here. It wont happen again.

OK I got it now. The 17 round magazine will not stick out of the gun any further than a 10 round mag....

Second, the 15 round magazine is made for the Glock 19, not the Glock 17 and isn't long enough to work in the 17.

The GLOCK 17 runs with 10 round and 17 round magazines.

Here are two G17s with 17 round magazines. The OD on the right has a MagPul base plate. Still the same capacity at 17 rounds. the 10 rounders look the same as these.



Here is my daughter shooting her Glock 17 with a 33 round magazine.



She is a good shot.

I'am just a regular guy who started buying GLOCK magazines back in 1987. So I have plenty of preban magazines; some have been rebuilt some are still old and since it takes $ to rebuild them, I do them as I need too.

On Target doesn't monitor magazines. I am a yearly member as well as my kids and they know us by name. The answer is: I own these magazines and since I own them, I can use them anywhere in California. Enough said.

I've owned 40 glocks, sold and bought since 1987. Still have more than 20. I had a couple of LARGE BOXES of magazines before the ban. We knew the ban was coming and we gun-nuts stocked up where ever we could find them; gunshows, gunstores, etc...some magazines we paid a premium. Some we had before the hoopla.....

Lately I've been rebuilding 5 at a time.

These 5 are next in line:



I order them in from Lonewolf or other supplies in KIT rebuild kits....Like these. This is how they come from LoneWolf for example.



I have no qualms about using my legal magazines.
